Description
Infection control tracking is not an easy task in long term care. During this session, we will discuss what needs to be tracked and recorded to ensure that not only are requirements being met, but you are identifying any trends and potential harm to residents, visitors, and staff.
Presenter: Deb Martin, RN, BSN | CE Solutions/VGM Education
Deb Martin is a Senior Care Account Executive for CE Solutions/VGM Education. Deb started her nursing career in the NICU in Waterloo, Iowa. She worked for a leading pharmaceutical company as a Sales Executive for NE Iowa and was the Director of Nursing at a Skilled Nursing Facility for 10 years. Currently, Deb authors content for CE Solutions courses, serves as the nurse expert, and is the senior care account executive. She is a certified Infection Preventionist and served as a clinical author of Infection Compliance Solutions, a software program that tracks and trends multiple areas in infection control.
Continuing Education: This activity has been approved for 1 continuing education credit for licensed nursing home administrators, nurses, physical therapists, and social workers by the Illinois Health Care Association, an approved sponsor of continuing education by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
