This presentation provides a focused, practical overview of the Skilled Nursing Facility Quality Reporting Program (SNF QRP) and its direct influence on quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, and Medicare reimbursement. It is designed to help SNF leaders and clinical professionals understand not only what CMS requires, but why these measures matter and how performance directly affects financial stability and survey readiness.

Participants will gain clarity on current QRP measures, the consequences of noncompliance, and strategies for using QRP data to drive meaningful quality improvement. The session emphasizes proactive use of outcomes data to strengthen care delivery, support compliance, and sustain reimbursement under CMS requirements.

Presenter: Carey Patton RN, RAC-CT, RAC-CTA | Synergy Care, Inc. 

Carey Patton is a registered nurse with more than 25 years of experience in skilled nursing facilities. She brings extensive expertise in both acute and post-acute care. She holds the RAC-CT and RAC-CTA certifications and has served in a variety of leadership and clinical roles throughout her career. Before assuming her current role, Carey spent 11 years as Chief Nursing Officer for a skilled nursing organization in Texas, providing strategic oversight and clinical leadership across multiple facilities. For the past five and a half years, she has served as a nurse consultant with Synergy Care, Inc., supporting clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives.
